MODEL-MODEL DALAM ANALISIS KOLOM DAN DINDING GESER

Columns and shear walls are structural elements that can be used together. The column is generally
used as a load-bearing gravity or a combination of gravity and lateral. Considered effective as a shear wall
lateral load restraint (earthquake and wind) because it has a great lateral rigidity. In recent years several
trials test both static, quasi-static (cyclic) and dynamic and more intense analysis done. The models were
developed to simulate and represent the behavior of columns and shear walls behavior of both linear and
nonlinear (nonlinear material and geometry) or the behavior of local and global elements, or degrading
behavior (stiffness, strength or both) or not.
This paper presents the diversity and classification of modeling that has been introduced and developed
by many researchers. These models can be classified into micro models (finite element and fiber / fiber) and
a macro model includes plastic joint models, model springs (one and more), truss analogy, rational model
and combination models. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the state-of-the-art modeling columns and
shear walls and the challenge.
