HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK SOSIAL EKONOMI PENGOLAH PANGAN JAJANAN ANAK SEKOLAH (PJAS) DENGAN PRAKTEK KEAMANAN PANGAN

Food safety is one aspect that really needs to be considered. Likewise in the preparation of School Children's Snack Food products (PJAS). The purpose of this study was to (1) identify the socioeconomic characteristics of food processors of snacks for school children in Kendari City, and (2) analyze the gorrelation between the socioeconomic characteristics of PJAS processors and food safety practices. This research was conducted in 7 (seven) Elementary Schools (SD) in Kendari City, namely SDN 1 Kendari Barat, SDN 2 Baruga, SDN 13 Baruga, SDS Pelangi, SDN 234 Kendari, SDN 1 and SDN 3 Poasia. The sampling method uses snow ball sampling. The number of PJAS processors/traders selected and interviewed was 26 people. The types of PJAS that were taken included data on siomay, sausages (sosis), and iced tea. Data collection in the field was carried out from April to June 2016. The results showed that (1) the age of PJAS processors was classified as productive, namely between 23-24 years with education, experience and income categorized as moderate, and (2) there was a negative correlation between practice food processing measures with age and income, while experience is positively correlated.
